CLIENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All client and case information is strictly confidential between the client, veterinary physiotherapist and veterinary surgeon. Any information shared across parties must have the clients consent to do so.
Assessment and Treatment:
For remedial work – Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Surgeons (Exemption) Order 2015, remedial veterinary physiotherapy may only be carried out under referral by a veterinary surgeon. Prior to your appointment, we will require a completed veterinary consent form from your veterinary surgeon. This form can be provided to you, or you can contact us via phone or email and we can send one directly to your vet on your behalf.
For maintenance work – No veterinary consent is required. However, a notification will be sent to your vet that we have been asked to visit and are treating your animal.
We kindly ask that your animals are clean and dry for their appointment in order to perform effective assessment and treatment.

-
Equine clients – please ensure there is someone present and able to walk/trot the horse up for gait assessment.
-
Canine clients – please ensure there is a clear, sufficiently sized area on the floor where your dog can receive treatment laid down.

During your appointment, a full static, dynamic, palpation and joint range of motion assessment will be undertaken along with necessary treatment. You will also be provided with any advice/prescriptive exercise/rehabilitation plan following the session to be completed between appointments. We are happy to answer any questions you may have or discuss findings with you.
Please note: Movimentum has the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable. This could include: undiagnosed lameness, infectious/contagious disease or other behavioural/health concerns. In these circumstances, a payment of 50% of the treatment fee is required. In the case of any of the above, it will be advised that the animal must be immediately referred back to the vet for assessment/diagnosis.
Your animal may be a little uncomfortable for a few days post-treatment, especially if they have had a massage. This is completely normal and is to be expected, please do not worry! We ask that animals are rested following the appointment and will give an indication to how long for at the end of treatment. In addition, we will discuss with you an appropriate time frame for a follow-up treatment session dependent on what is found in the initial session. It is likely we may need to visit your animal again within a week or two.
Following your appointment, a written report will be produced and emailed to you, including muscular findings, any exercise prescriptions (and descriptions). We will also provide a veterinary report directly to the referring vet if your animal is a remedial case.

Payment:

Payment can be made via cash or bank transfer (details of which will be provided). We kindly ask that all payments to be made within 7 days of your appointment. Clients who fail to make payment within the 7 day window will receive a reminder. Late payments of 3 days following the reminder will incur an additional charge at the veterinary physiotherapists discretion and no further appointments will be booked.

Cancellations:

Cancellations/rearrangements can be made up to 24 hours prior to the booked appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to full payment. It is understood that sometimes things happen unexpectedly. Exemptions will apply under certain circumstances e.g. rearranging due to sudden onset of infectious/contagious disease and therefore no charge will be incurred.
