About Me

Hello, I’m Megan and I am the proud owner of Movimentum Veterinary Physiotherapy. I am fully insured and a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists. As a Veterinary Physiotherapist, I believe that the inclusion of physiotherapy within the veterinary multidisciplinary team is key to maintain and enhance your animals wellbeing, performance and health.

What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary physiotherapy is a science and evidence-based practice, often being utilised for numerous purposes. These purposes include:

  • Treatment of musculoskeletal injuries

  • Prehabilitation before surgery

  • Rehabilitation after surgery

  • Fitness and conditioning for equine and canine athletes

  • Long-term management of musculoskeletal or neurological conditions, including but not limited to - osteoarthritis, kissing spines, fractures, elbow and/or hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament rupture and spondylosis

As a veterinary physiotherapist, our main job is to target and reduce pain, improve movement and restore optimal muscle function for your animal. The application of manual therapies and electrotherapies assists this aim, reducing pain and promoting healing, in addition to improving joint mobility and muscle function and control through the use of prescription exercises. For performance animals, the veterinary physiotherapist can be an integral part of your animals multidisciplinary team to maximise performance, whilst reducing the risk of injury.
